We left Florence yesterday morning and got to Pisa within an hour by train. We've heard that there isn't much except the leaning tower to see in Pisa, so we checked our backs at a baggage holding place for 3 hours and quickly got on a bus to the leaning tower. It actually was surprising more interesting than I had expected.
cutest Indian family
But our favorite part was the people watching. Seeing everyone try and get the cliche pictures of them 'touching' the tour, or pushing it over, or leaning on it.
told you..
We learned that it started to be built sometime in 1173, and was worked on by 4 or 5 architects, and wasn't completely stable til 1990. The lean was caused by the soil it was on, not poor building skills.
People are allowed to climb to the top of it now. We passed on that one.
Then we had our own photo shoot session. Not sure i've ever looked like more of a tourist. Theres nothing else to do while in Pisa;D
paha lurkin
Before we finished the trip to La Spezia we stopped for a Kebab and coke. Tradition in every European town.
Next stop, the coast. Ciao.
